We took a break

I should explain where we have been the last few weeks.  Well sick and exhausted!  Getting up at 5 to work out.. wasn't working.  I was sick for 2 weeks straight, Z was sick too.  So I'm not getting up to work out anymore.  I work out while Z's awake.  Which means my work outs are much less intense, but its better than nothing right?  Z likes to "work out" too.  He is too cute.  So, after a stomach bug and a sinus infection that moved its way to my chest, I decided it was time to take it easy.  For those 2 weeks we really did the bare min. things.  We missed our music class, Mary kay meetings, Bible study, working out, class.. just about everything, but we had time to recover and it was needed!  Now we are all back to normal, and learning that I need to manage things a little better.  Afterall I'm not super mom ( almost.. ;) ) Its all about balance right?  Again, I'm excited about summer! 
As hard as it was being sick and having a sick baby and a working dada (lots of working hours..) I learned how blessed we are.  We have such an amazing support system.  My parents, T's parents, and some great friends that all helped and watched Z for us.  I am so lucky to have so many great people so close!  I know a few moms that don't have that, and I have no idea how I'd survive without my people!  So thank you everyone!  We love you and you are very appreciated and Z is so lucky to have you all in his life!  <3

It was a very rainy day today, and I was not sure we'd be able to get some outside time, but luckily it stopped raining and we were able to go for a walk and stop off at the park.  Where we found some water puddles.. so I showed Z how to jump in puddles.  He loved it!  I knew he would.. but it was fun watching him run around from puddle to puddle.  After a little bit, he sat down in the puddle.. figures.. lol.  I picked him up.. and he promptly sat back down in it.  Since it was a bit chilly, it was now time to go home.

School is almost out.. which I'm so excited about!  Classes are going really well, but I'm ready to be done this semester.  I'm thanking the summer off to relax and work on my Mary Kay some more.  Other than that, there isn't much more going on with us!

Z's is a talker.. He is such a talker.  I am not sure what he is saying most the time, but he sure does!  He also loves going for walks and playing with rocks and dirt.  His favorite toys right now, would be the water table, his mail box, elmo and any balls.  He is wearing size 5 shoes and 18 month clothes.  Favorite food is bananas and carbs.. lol.  He loves bread.  He also likes to get fruit snacks out of cupboard and brings them to me.

We are alive...

Look what the Easter bunny left!

 Its been a long time!  Quick recap, Easter was lovely.  We went to church, then we went to our families and Z got to play with his cousins.  It was great seeing family.  I think our Easter tradition is one of my favorite holiday ones.  We go to my great aunt B and have lunch and hang out w/ the family we don't see all that often.  I love it and now that there are many more little one running around, I love it more.  Its so good seeing Z running around with his buddies.

After Easter Z got his one year shots (delayed b/c he had croup right around and was on meds so he couldn't get his shots) Truth be told, I was good with delaying the shots b/c I was worried about the side effects.. which brings me to the fever we fought all last week.  Poor baby was not sleeping from the fever the mean teeth trying to push their way out.  I was working hard on keeping his fever down (meds, baths etc..) lots of extra cuddles and naps. 

Then the weekend came.. So the super exhausted and tired mama and dada have a feverish teething baby...  We were busy busy as always, did a family dinner on Sunday at my mother in laws.  It was nice having the extra hands and then we came home, I mowed the yard, which was me time... Then our great neighbors watched and bathed Z so that T and I could get some dinner...  It was a needed break.. a much needed break.. even it it was just a dinner.  We didn't have to share the food with anyone!  lol..  Sunday night I didn't sleep.. which was awful b/c Z did finally sleep...  Well turns out that I was coming down with a sinus infection.  Monday I was out of commission.  I was super sick, but I am a lucky women with a great mom, who came and took care of Z and I, giving me a chance to just nap and get better.  Now I can say I am feeling much much better.  I feel like I can start getting back to a normal life again, working out, school, Mary Kay, etc.

So this weekend we will be hopefully meeting up with some family for a fun day!  Sorry for all the pictures at once! 

I've been MIA!!

Sorry things around here have been busy!  First I went on a Mary Kay overnight thing and then the next week T and I went to Dells for a little break, while Z stayed w/ grandma and grandpa.  Working out is going well.  I will post more later, but I have to get up early tomorrow to work out!
