I am your calm.. you are my wild

Sometimes the best way to put your emotions into words is to use a poem..  So today since I had some extra one on one time w/ my silly boy (since the kids I babysit were sickly and so was my little man).. We spent alot of time playing with trains and making music... So this poem really fit. 

You are my I love you

I am your parent you are my child
I am your quiet place, you are my wild
I am your calm face, you are my giggle
I am your wait, you are my wiggle
I am your audience, you are my clown
I am your London Bridge, you are my falling down
I am your Carrot Sticks, you are my licorice
I am your dandelion, you are my first wish
I am your water wings, you are my deep
I am your open arms, you are my running leap

I am your dry towel, you are my wet bath

Stomach bug...

Disinfecting all toys...  Then dealing with dehydration...  all the joys of germs and sickness!  When Z woke up this morning.. he was super tired.  He won't leave my arms.. he didn't want to eat or play.. The only think he said to me was drink.. so we went to the dr.. Turns out he is dehydrated.. so we are pushing fluids...  as long as he keeps drinking then we will be fine. This is how he was been most the day today.. very sleepy.. but drinking lots!

So here goes!  Keep in mind we have been dealing w/ sickness here and not sleeping well.. But its a real look at what motherhood looks like

1. What was your first job?
Dishwasher/waitress

2. What food could you eat every day for a month and not get tired of it?
Mashed potatoes!  I love them!

3. If you won the lottery today, what is the first material thing you'd purchase?

4. Are your toenails currently painted? What do they look like?
They are painted bright pink, but starting to chip away.. so they need redone

5. How do you feel about pets? Do you have any?
I love my pup, we have one dog Chase.  He is best buddies with Z and I love having him around.  But right now he is all we want/need. 

6. When was the last time you went out to a movie? What did you see?
I think it was Breaking Dawn with some girlfriends.. so that was awhile ago...

7. Do you have any vacations coming up? If not, where would you love to go?
T and I have been talking about taking a overnight trip and staying at a romantic hotel soon.. But vacation wise, I'd love to take a trip and visit my friends that are all around the country.. Mainly my LB mammas.  

8. What would you do with a kid free night? If you're not a parent, what would you do with an evening all to yourself?
A kid free night.. right now sleep!  Maybe go out with some friends and go to dinner.. then sleep..

9. What's your guilty pleasure movie or TV show?
I just finished desperate housewives.. so I'm currentlly looking for something new to watch.  One show I love to watch is Tosh.0.. its so bad.. but so funny

10. Which website do you waste the most time on?
Facebook. mainly in one group, but I spend too much time on it. 

11. What's for dinner tonight? Give me some ideas!
I think I'm going to make chilli...

Cars birthday party!

Like last year we had Z's first party at a bowling alley near our town.  It was such a great time, we had his second party there too!  It was so much fun!  We did a Car's theme and Z seemed to love it! 

I have to throw out a big thank you to some of my amazing friends!  My LB mom's help make this party happen!  A did a great job making the decorations for me!  W made Z's car theme shirt.  N made the invites and S gave me the #2 balloon and the cupcake holders!  Also Thanks to my SS for sending us the cute cars plates and silverware!  This party would not have been so great without your help!  I love ladies!!

But by the time we need to blow out the candle and eat cake.. the 45 min nap had caught up with us....

I have a 2 year old!!

Man 2 years have flown by!  I can't get over how big he has gotten and how much he can do now!  He really has taught me so much about love!  We spend his birthday w/ nana hanging out.  We had pancakes with apples (his favorite).  Then we went to dinner w/ some friends (the poor waiter had to deal w/ 2 sets of parents and 4 children under the age of 5) Then we opened gifts at home and had cake.  It was really nice!

He did a great job opening his gifts!

Hello long lost blog

Life with a toddler is hectic!  Add in there babysitting, school, mary kay, working out, house keeping, and being a wife and mommy.. well the blog got push back.  I'm not going to lie, it was a nice break.. but I want to get back into it! 

He has gotten big!!  Its crazy that he will be 2 in just a few days!!  I really can't get over it!  I think his birthday is the reason why I got back on this blog!  So a few updates since I last wrote.. We had a fun winter and Christmas.  We went on vacation in the smokey mountains and that was a blast!  Christmas Z got sooo many toys.. T & I started working out.. I've lost 25 lbs.. which is pretty exciting!  We also have been sick alot.  Z got sick on vacation, then we got it on our way home.. Then we had a few weeks of no sickness and then back at it for 2 weeks.  Last week Z got his first ever ear infection.. and it was in both ears!  Poor boy, but I'm happy that it was our first in 2 years...  Other than that, we are still just playing!  :)  I'll be sure to post much more often!  <3
