Have to get out of this house...

Today I'm going to work out with my trainer.. its been quite some time since I've seen her.. I'm not wanting to get back on the scale.. scared to see what quick frozen foods/not eating/ drinking pepsi and coffee non stop have done to me.. But going is the first step.  Its been so long since getting back into my routine...  We have spent the last 2 weeks here at home non stop.. with very few trips out of the house.  When we left the house, it has been really quick trips.. just getting what we need.  And 4 weeks before that we didn't leave much either...
I'm also worried about my energy level.  I haven't been eatting right and I haven't been sleeping.  Part of not sleeping is waking up with Z.. the other part is me worried about what next sickness he will have.  I mean for the last 6 weeks we have had a cold, double ear infection, stomach flu, and then influenza...  I talked to the dr about that, and they said it happens.  The first thing brings the immune system down and so they just keep getting sick..   So bubble boy might be in his future...  Not really, but I am keeping him away from people this weekend.  When I work out he isn't going to the day care (one he still had a fever this morning)  and 2 I don't want him around other kids yet... so my parents are taking him for a few hours.  At their house.  Also tomorrow I think we might skip church too.. just to keep him out of nursery.  I don't know if I can handle another sickness without a break...  This past 6 weeks have been some of the hardest most exhausted weeks ever....
So today, working out with my trainer.  I'm glad I'll be with her... She is great!  She will know how hard to push me without over doing it.  Which is good.. b/c I'm so tired...Then I think T and I might go see a movie...  I am excited but leaving Z for that long also makes me worry...  I mean, I know he will be in great care, my folks are so wonderful (in fact one day this week my amazing mother took a few hours off work and came to help me w/ Z on one of his bad days) but since he's been sick I havn't been away more than an hour...I know he will be fine.. I wonder how I'll do...
So thats the plan for the day...  if we have extra time we might sneak home and clean...  Exciting I know!  ;)

Showing off his favorite toys from his birthday.. they came on his cake... but he loves them!!
Sorry if this post doesn't make sense... just threw my thoughts down...

Life w/ the flu.. might be getting better

I haven't posted much this week.. b/c really I haven't had anything to write about.  Life with the flu is not fun...  Fevers, sleepy cranky boy, meds, etc.  That's been our last 6 days...  I talked to the nurse yesterday and she gave me hope that things might be turning around today.  I hope!  If he still has a fever today, then we'll need to head back into the dr.  Good news he woke up fever free.. I'm kinda giving it some time before getting too hopeful.. but we might be at the end.. or close to it.. I hope!  I'm exhausted.  I've barely worked on the house, school, or Mary Kay.  I've just been a mommy caring for my little guy.  I haven't worked out in too long.. but I plan on getting into the gym tomorrow.  I just wanted to give a little update on us!  We are still here.. hanging in there!!  Looking forward to getting back to living our normal life w/ my happy fun son!  I miss him!

Influenza.. why not?

At this point I'm starting to get a bit tired of starting this off w/ a sickness in the title or as the subject... but it is our life right now.  Yesterday Z was doing a bit better.  He was doing great drinking, but then spiked a fever.. and started coughing.  As the day went on the cough got worst.  Then night time came.  It was a rough night.  Z woke up alot.. at one point I ended up camping out next to his crib to comfort him when he cried and woke up.  We got about 3 or 4 hours of sleep b/c he woke up pretty early...  So in the morning when he still was running a fever.. I started to worry he might have influenza.. so I called the dr on call and they told me to come in.  Which really I was planning on it anyway.. something just felt wrong.. it felt more than just a cold.  So off we went.
B/c of his symptoms we needed to put a mask on him.. Heartbreaking.. Then we needed to get an x-ray to rule out pneumonia.. So I had to hold him and hold the little board thing.. it was hard..  He was screaming and wanting to get out.. anyway.. Lungs were clear and verdict was the flu.. so we got the tamiflu or whatever its called.  I have to break the capsules off and put them in food to give it to him.. but hopefully it makes him better fast.. I'm tired and we both need a decent night of sleep..

Also T isn't feeling very well either.. He spent most the day in bed....

Finding time to relax

If you've been reading my blog you know its been a stressful few weeks.. especially this last one.  I needed something to help me unwind and relax... I'm too tired for wine (sigh...  this breaks my heart more than you know!!)  But I've really been exhausted so a glass just makes me more tired...  Well I've always love tea.. and a friend of mine just started a new tea business so I thought I would try some..
Well I am so impressed!  I've had about 3 of them so far and I love everyone!  They are organic and loose leaf.. and so many blends!  So far I've tried the Earl grey cream, Spiced Mexican Chocolate Rooibos, Rooibos Chai, & Chamomile Vanilla Bean.  First I want to say the Earl Grey is the best black tea I've had since I was in Ireland!  I've been looking for a tea that reminded me of that tea and this is it!  I just add a little milk and a tiny bit of sugar and its perfect!! Its creamy and smooth!  If you have been overseas and loved the tea there.. you have to try it!  This is so good!
My husband and I enjoy scones and Irish Tea!   In .Glendalough Ireland

The Spiced Mexican chocolate Rooibos is great too!  Anything that has chocolate has my vote!  No, really I think this one is my favorite so far!  The other two are super good too!  I've been drinking the chamomile vanilla bean in the evenings when I'm really needed a me moment...

Anyway, If you want to time some gourmet tea, check them out!!  The nice thing is you can buy a few servings of lots of different types (which is what I did).. If you try some leave a comment on which ones you got and let me know what you thought!  Below is their website and their facebook page!  Just an FYI my friend is who hand paints the tea pots.. I plan on getting one of those very soon :)

Z update

For those not on facebook thought I'd send a quick update.  Yesterday was for real one of the scariest days for me.  I wrote alittle bit about it on here, but didn't go into much detail.  Well like I said yesterday, Z woke up and was so tired.  He woke up at 7.. and slept on and off in my arms all morning.  He was so lethargic.. It was scary.  I was able to get into the dr at 10.  Z was asleep before we got off our road!  When I say tired I mean from getting up till putting him in the car he didn't get out of my arms.  No playing, no talking (other than saying drink twice) nothing.. He wouldn't even say no.. When he would go to sleep.. his little eyes would roll back into his head he'd fall asleep.  He didn't even play w/ my face or hair.. he just was there.. At the Dr they said he was most likely dehydrated from this awful stomach bug.. He was borderline of needed to go to the hosptial but since he was drinking on his own, the dr suggested trying to treat him at home first.  Any time your child's dr says Need to admitt its scary for a mom to hear.  So we went home and pushed fluids.. one oz every hour.  Z did great drinking for the first part of the day!  He even got up and played for about a total of 20 mins yesterday.  We were/are still dealing w/ water poop..  But he woke up saying Mama!  and wanting to play!!  So exciting!  He only plays for about 5mins at a time right now.. then comes and cuddles in my arms.. but thats much much better than yesterday!  So at this point I think we will be able to avoid the hospital!!  Oh yea, we also came down w/ a cold last night...  So now he has a runny nose.. a cough and a sneeze.. but we can deal w/ a cold...  By the way.. I'm ready for spring...

Here was my facebook update today:
I think we might be over the dehydration scare! Zach woke up saying mama and wanting to play! He asked for a banana then wanted to play w/ bubbles! This is a giant improvement from yesterday when all he did was lay in my arms! Still need to keep pushing fluids today, but I don't think we will need to go to the hospital! Thanks for the prayers everyone!
He did come down w/ a cold.. but 2 steps up one step back is still moving forward right?

Sorry for any typoes.. its been a long few days and I wrote this quickly while Z was coloring..
