Bedtime troubles...

We have always been pretty good with bedtime and sleep but until recently...  I don't know what happened.. teething, being sick.. or something, but now bedtime is hard.  Zach never wants to go down.. He would rather play ..if I stay in the room that is.. if I leave, its like the end of the world!  Tonight we were out WAY past bed time, watching the end of the world series...  Oh yea, you know the one where the Cardinals won...  Just saying.. Anyway, so tonight was super hard!  So much excitement and being overtired=one baby that didn't want to go to sleep... While it was fun playing w/ him in his crib-I knew he had to get that excitment and energy outta his system, so I let him play a bit in his crib.  It was cute, he was sharing his pacis w/ me, and the moible, and scout (his doggie pal).. and his bottle (I was using up the rest of thawed milk), and being super cute.  Finally after playing for about an hour and 1/2.. I nursed him and he fell asleep.  But from now on, we NEED a set routine.. One where we do it the exact same way EVERY day.. even on weekends.  Start at the same time and do the same stuff..  I'm so bad about this..  But it needs to be done.
So I already have a dilemma, Tomorrow night we have a Halloween party.. It doesn't start until 7... ugh.. So if I say bed time is at 7:30.. Bath would need to start by 7:15 at the latest.. Which would mean no party.  But we are moving his bedtime up from 9.. which does need to be done slowly.. so maybe go to the party and leave at 7:45 start bath and bed.. that'd get him to bed around 8:30.. Then next night move it up 15 mins.. Excuse the thinking aloud.. lol.
So thats where are at.. Bed time issues.. On a side note, I've become a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant!  I'm pretty excited about it and just got my starter kit in the mail today!  I sold a few things early to help get my inventory, which will be in Monday!  Even more excited about that!!  So ladies, if you want a facial or make over, please give me a call!  My goal is to do 30 faces in 30 days.. so help a girl out!  :)  Also if you'd like to buy anything, check out my website:  www.marykay.com/ngoggin1

time is going so fast!

T said to me today, "Z will be one before we know it"  This broke my heart!  I'm so excited to watch him grow up, but I so sad to loose my baby!  Each day he is becoming less baby and more big boy!  Like today, he pulled himself up like normal.. but then let go of the table and stayed standing up.. ON HIS OWN!  It only lasted a few seconds.. but its the beginning of the end.  So I saw on a friends blog her post things she didn't want to forget.. I thought it was cute, so I'm stealing it (out of love, b/c I LOVE her post and pictures on her blog!)  Things I don't want to forget:
Z:
When he really likes a toy, he yells/growls.  I love this noise he makes-even when he does it in the restaurants or stores!
He loves standing up/pulling himself up.
He is all about kisses right now.. Big wet drooly kisses!
Dogs are his all time favorite things.. nothing can make him laugh harder than a dog.
When dada comes home, its the best part of his whole day.. He lights up when he sees T, and smiles and laughs.. This melts my heart!
When he wakes up from a nap, he grunts as if calling out to see where I am.
He crawls funny.. He keeps one leg bent and the other one he uses to push himself off.. kinda like a mix between bear crawl and crawling.. super cute either way.
When he cuddles after he's nursed.. pure peacefulness.  He normally pats/rubs my neck/back.. :)
His smile...  toothless (at least tonight)
His laugh.. and how he does a silent laugh when things are really fun for him
T:
Watching him play w/ Z
The way he looks at me while I'm holding Z

I'm so happy with my life right now.. its crazy, messy, stressful, hard.. but more fun than I've had before.  I can't even tell you how much fun I have w/ Z and T.  I'm so blessed!
I should prolly do an 8 month stat too:
Weight: guess about 20ish lbs
Not sure about height:
Wears 12-18 month clothes normally
Diapers: size 4
Eye color: Blue w/ some green
Sleep:  Pretty well.. normally wakes about 3 am
Eatting.. Loves food!!
Walk: Not yet
Teeth: None yet.. but been grumpy, drooly, and I saw alittle white dot on his swollen gums tonight...
Favorite thing: Dogs
Toy: Sophie
Food: there isn't much he doesn't like
Activity: Walks and bathtime
Naps about twice a day
Pulling himself up on everything, crawling like a champ, doesn't cry when he falls every time now, can climb stairs, can clap/do paticake... we are working on blowing kisses.  He gives kisses and hugs.
Finger paints (baby safe..)

Doggy safe too.. Sharing :)

Just woke up from nap.

The table is now a Zach Zone.. lol

On the move

Lovin bath time
Thats about it for now :)

I was getting my hair and make up done.. drinking some mimosas, waiting for the hour to strike so I could marry my best friend.  It was chilly and windy much like today is, but I was prolly the only one that wasn't cold while we were getting our outside pictures done.  Let me just say I LOVE my dress.. and the groom wasn't too bad either!  :)  I am really lucky to have found the man I married at such a young age.  He is a great hard working man and such a wonderful father.  5 years after we got married I am still madly in love with him (just don't tell him that.. b/ then he might stop working at it ;)  As tired, stressed and overwhelmed as I might get, I know I have him on my side.  This year I fell even more in love with him seeing him with our son.  Let me tell you, there is no better sight than seeing those two play and cuddle and love.  My heart really melts.  And I know that our son will turn out to be a great man if he is anything like his father!!
I'm also excited b/c we are going on a date night today! :)  YAY!  Grandpa G is going to watch Zman, and we are going to dinner.  Not really sure where yet, but somewhere good I'm sure!  Then I rented a few movies, so I'm thinking we'll go get Z and come home and watch one of those!  :)  Then I have a surprise all planned for next weekend, but I can't tell about it yet.. b/c Tim doesn't know what it is.  He has learned its something overnight, but other than that, has no idea :)
Updates on us...  School is going really well so far!  So thats good!  We are staying busy busy, but its good.  We sold our big truck, and got a older, much smaller truck that T is now taking to work.. so I get the car!!  I'm no longer stuck at home and I think it has already made me a happier mamma!  I also finally started working out, and plan on working out today too at the gym at school.  Tomorrow my little man will be 8 months old!!  That is really crazy!  I'll post tomorrow more about him and add lots of pictures!  For he is waking up.. so thats it for now!

Walk to remember!

Rewind 2 years ago.. Rain and cold.. rewind 1 year ago.. rain and really cold.. Last Sat morning.. Lovely!  Which is good, because we did the Walk to End Alzheimer's!  Team Dar did great!!  :)  Even Zach "walked"
This year we raised $850 (I think that was our final.. unless there were last min donations).  It was so nice out, the sun was shinny and it wasn't that cold!  The flowers we are holding for part of the memory garden.  Each color had a meaning, Yellow was for supporting a family member.  Blue was if you had Alzheimer, purple was if you have lost someone from alz and orange was if you were supporting the cause.  It was a super cute idea.  Z was awake for the first part, then fell asleep (if you were getting carried around on someone's back.. I think you'd fall asleep too!)  We weren't the only ones baby wearing there either!  Our friends S & B were there and B was being carried by her mama too!  Anyway, I'm super proud of our team and can't wait to get do even better next year!
Walking in style!

Memory Garden

My big boy!!
From there we went to a pumpkin patch!  When he gets older those are going to be so much fun (and a headach.. I think :) ) and we picked out a couple pumpkins.. I'll post pic of those when we carve them :)  It was fun and nice to get out of the house.
