David Cook-The time of my life

I have always loved this song.. and I really felt like this was the song that should have been playing last year when our little man made his debut. Now I most def feel like this is the theme song to my life right now. I'm so thankful for my life. I love my husband, my sweet baby boy, and staying at home with him. I'm having so much fun working my Mary Kay business and the new doors that has opened for us. I know I'm living the life I was meant to be living. I feel so blessed to have such great family and friends! I also feel blessed that I can see how happy and good my life is (may it be busy, crazy, and hectic-I can still see the greatness that is there) I know this post seems very rainbows and butterflies, but I feel like its so important for people to try to find joy in their lives and cherish them. Life changes and I feel like so many people around me have had their lives turned up side down in mere moments, making me realize how important it is to reflect on the good in your life now.
Hug your loved ones tight today, and tell them how you feel. You never know what tomorrow will bring! That is all I have for today! I promise I'll get some pictures posted soon!!

Fever Gone & Classes

Z is finally fever free!  Hurray and thank the Lord!  Having a sick baby is no fun at all!  I think this was the longest he has ever had a fever!  I kinda feel like we have been very sick this year!  But then a friend told me that babies normally get about 6 colds in their first year.. which made me feel a little better.  Either way, I'm thrilled that he is feeling better!  He is normally a pretty sweet boy even when he is sick, but the fun comes out when he is feeling better.. I'm excited to play again!  Favorite games include playing cars -and it won't be cars without the "vroom" noise-which he makes the whole time!  Patty cake (really one of this all time fav.. Rolling it is the best part!)  If I start singing it, he'll start doing he claps and rolling it and patting it.. Super cute!  He isn't in love w/ Story time, he'd rather eat the books and turn the pages, but we'll get there.  He like to color/draw.. mainly on mommy's books ;)  But he does do it in his color pages too.  I excited for this spring/summer when we can go outside and use sidewalk chalk.  And he is eating like a champ again!  While he was sick, he wasn't eating much.  at all..  He was nursing nonstop, but not tons of solids.  Well that has changed!!
Class started yesterday.  I think this semester will be busy, but good.  I enjoyed class yesterday.. So thats good!
  I've been very blessed to stay busy doing parites/classes and facials with Mary Kay  since I started.  I can't even tell you how much I'm enjoying it!!  Its so much fun to help other women and hang out with them!  This weekend I have a workshop for Mary Kay, so I'll be gone overnight.  Its the first time I'll be overnight away from Z without T.  So first time away from Z that isn't a date night thing.  I'm excited about the weekend, and a bit sad about leaving my little man!  I wonder how much I'll miss him.  I know him and dada will have a good time without me, so that helps.  Well thats a little update about us!

Sick little boy...

I hate typing that!  I really hate when Z isn't feeling well!  Saturday Z had a fever and a cough.  Sunday same.. and long naps.  Sunday night  waking every couple hours fighting fever and breathing.  and one long stretch of no sleep for either one of us.  After Z woke up the first time around 11, I moved up on the spare room acrossed from his room.. for a few reasons, I wanted to be closer to him, and let T sleep sine he had to work in the morning.  What a sweet wife I am.  This really isn't the best time for Z to be sick either.. but is it ever?  Today, it was the same, fevers and cough.. deep raspy scary coughs.  We went to the doctor today, to get it checked out.  Doc was worried it might be RSV, so he got checked for that.  Either way the game plan was/is to wait it out, let it run its coarse and just watch him to make sure he doesn't have issues breathing.  Just what every mom wants to hear!  The doctor even gave him a direct line to get to his nurse (instead of calling and talking to the front desk, getting transferred to a machine)  So, RSV came back neg, so its just some nasty virus. 
My mom took Z today, to let me get a nap in, before I start what I fear will be another marathon tonight.  So I was happy about that, but I missed my little guy!  Even when he is sick, he is so good and still a pretty happy baby.  Classes start back up tomorrow for me.  Ugh, I was enjoying being on break. Well kids, I'm going to head off to bed b/c I'm guessing I'll be up soon!

Z took his first steps & first real snow!

Yesterday Z took his first steps!  Unhelped holding on to nothing!  He still needs to work at it, but he is getting soo big!  I just can't get over it!!

Also I can't wait for the wind to die down, so I can take Z outside to play in the snow!  Can you believe that yesterday we went on a walk and today there is lots of snow outside?  Crazy weather!!  I'll post pics soon.. just wanted to tell you about his walking!  :)

Its been way to long!!

In Dec, I was doing so well staying up on my bloggin!!  This month so far, I've done awful!!  But what can I say, Z is just too much fun to play with, so thats where most my time has gone!!
Some up dates on him.  He now was 2 teeth!  He got his second one on Christmas.. and right now, he is working on his top ones-I only think that b/c of the 3 am wake up calls and he's grumpier than normal!  Christmas was wonderful!  It was so nice having friends and family around and Z did great!  Now on to the Birthday party!  I've been planning and prepping for a few weeks now.  Today I'm going to make the invites so I can get those mailed out..  We are doing a Winter Onerland theme Feb 18th 2-4, friends and family save that date :) 
Z is getting soo big!  He is talking like crazy.. says, mom, mama, dada, daddy, doggie, and yea.  He has started shaking his head yes and no.  and LOVES patacake.. It is his favorite game.. he really loves the roll it part.  He does them himself.  He thinks its super funny when people sneeze!  He is super close to walking without help.  too close IMO. 
School starts soon.  So back to being super busy!  My goal is to have the house clean by the time school starts..  Right now I'm working on laundry.. ugh.  dreaded laundry!  lol  Mary Kay is going great!  I'm having a blast with it!  I love doing parties and teaching women about their skin!  (So.. if you'd like to have a party/class let me know ;) )  Well here are some pictures!
