We ate alot of really good food! We really ate all the time! I kinda feel like I gained 100 lbs just from one week!! But now that we are back home, its most def time to get for real and diet! We of course went to beaches! We went to Siesta beach off the gulf, it was so pretty! We have a waterproof camera with pictures that need developed (if I can remember how this works.. lol) I'll post them when I get them done. Zach loves water, and seemed to have a great time in the water (pool, ocean, gulf of Mexico all of it) We also went to a nice History Center in Tampa. It seem to rain almost every day, while we were in Tampa, but luckily we were able to hit the beach when it wasn't pouring! Then it was time to leave Tampa and Gigi :(
So we head out! We first stop off at Orlando. We had planned on meeting up with a few different people, but sadly only had time to meet up with an old friend from highschool that moved down to Orlando. It was nice visiting with them, and they were able to meet Z for the first time too! :) Then we drove out to Jacksonville. For some of the drive we rode on A1A, and saw alot of the coast! And our AC in our car started acting up again.. by that I mean, stopped working, again! It happened on our way down first ( I guess it was over pressured from the heat??) So we had to stop and try to fix that, and got some pictures!
After we fixed that, fed the baby, we were back on the rode! Z met his great uncle and aunt, and we went out to dinner. The next day, we went and explored St. Augustine, such a pretty town. Thanks to our personal tour guide Aunt L! We saw a few cool places around the town, then headed to a beach with the ocean! Z enjoyed it! He really liked the sand and the waves coming and washing the sand around him! We enjoyed playing out in the waves (taking turns sitting w/ Z and going out). While out there we saw a dolphin jumping around!! After the beach, it was time to say goodbye to Uncle C and Aunt L and head out! Again we were planning on driving thru the night, while Z was sleeping.. We planned on being in Carbondale around 7AM on Friday... Well sadly things don't always go to plan.. Sometimes other things happen...
Well... This was not what we planned... Yep that is our car, stopped in the middle of nowhere at 1:30 AM... With all our luggage out of the trunk... So we could get to the donut. In case you were wondering.. There is NO tire store in GA open at 1:30 AM that sells car tires. To top it off, this wasn't even a town.. it was just a gas station, about 200 miles south of Atlanta. We choice to hobble into Macon GA (about 35 miles from here) and stay in the hotel we stayed in on the way down here and wait for morning to get into a tire place. We made it.. took over 45 mins, but we got there. We get into our room, and all crashed, exhausted and defeated... Woke up and started making calls to try and get our tire... Well, guess who has a rare tire. Yep, this girl right here! We call 4 ppl (included Walmart, who checked in all 4 of their stores around the area) .. no one had our tire.. Wal-mart could order it, and could get it in 2 short weeks... Another place I talked to, said they might be able to get it late afternoon.. maybe.. But then we were lucky and found a place that had 4 of our rare tires.. 4 of them!! Would you believe that it was about 35 miles south of Macon.. right around the area we lost our tire.. So Mom, me and Z stayed in the hotel and T went back down and got our expensive souvenirs. We just did the 2 front b/c the back one were fine. They were able to get us right in, and T was back in Macon around 11:30.. we packed up the car, and headed out around noon.
We made it into Carbondale much later than planed, around 8pm, but stayed the night at my Uncle T's house. Again first time he met Z also. (see a theme to this trip??) We played some chess, watch a movie and went to bed! In the morning, we got breakfast and hung out and had to leave. We got home pretty quick! It was so nice to see everyone and to spend so much time w/ my mom and Tim. Well sorry this is so long, but I just wanted to share it with you!!
